If Aristotle helped shape the world with a thought, Shakespeare conquered generations with a book, Martin Luther King Jr. changed the course of history with a speech, and the Beatles became legends with a song, could a person create a difference with a dance?
I believe yes we can! Kuchipudi Dance is an art form; one of the highest, most empathic and truest forms of expression, for bodies cannot lie. Along with skills, practice and determination, dance entails its most important element: inspiration. The power of dance lies in the emotions and in its ability to move, to reach out and to inspire. This is the gift that we would like to share with the world.
Guided by our theme, "DANCE TO INSPIRE, NOT TO IMPRESS," our student should seek to promote the idea that dance, as the powerful art form it is, also has capacity to propel change. While SKN students are naturally creative and talented, i wish to tap these potentials in order to help achieve progress on personal and social levels and hope that you all will join hands in this endeavor.

Unite for Sight
Unite for Sight is a global charity working to supports eye clinics worldwide by investing human and financial resources in their social ventures to eliminate patient barriers to eye care. Unite for Sight's goal is to sponsor 77,000 sight-restoring surgeries by year-end 2013. Through their programs they reach multiple cities in India and Ghana with financial and human resource needed to help people who need the most. more
One eye resorting surgery costs $50, and our goal is to raise at least $5,000 to provide 100 sight restoring surgeries, we need your support to meet the goal. We would be very grateful for any support you can afford any help is appreciated. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to restoring sight for patients living in extreme poverty.
